Cricketer Suresh Raina and his wife Priyanka Chaudhary’s ‘Gracia Raina Foundation’ started a reproductive health and mental well-being programme for women inmates of the Karnal jail on Friday.

The objective behind the programme was to empower women living behind the bars.

An adolescent health workshop was held at Rupnagar’s Govt. Girls Senior Secondary School. Attended by 800 girls, the workshop is a part of Gracia Raina Foundation’s RightAGE programme.

Led by Priyanka Chaudhary Raina, Founder & Director-Gracia Raina Foundation, and presented by Dr. Anamika Dubey, Senior Consultant, Adolescent Health, Rainbow Children’s Hospital, the workshop was aimed at helping adolescent girls better understand the various facets of reproductive health.

दिन-शनिवार और समय-करीब तीन बजे। वेन्यू-पीजीआई का एडवांस पेडिएट्रिक सेंटर स्थित प्लेवे एरिया। जहां बिना किसी निर्धारित कार्यक्रम के क्रिकेटर सुरेश रैना यहां पहुंच गए और बच्चों के साथ खेलने लगे। उन्होंने एक-एक बच्चे से उनकी तबीयत के बारे में बात की। उनके साथ कैरम व लूडो खेला और जाते वक्त उन्हें गिफ्ट्स दे गए। इन सब में सुरेश का साथ दिया उनकी पत्नी प्रियंका चौधरी ने।

Suresh Raina and his wife Priyanka Raina spent time with children undergoing treatment at the Advanced Paediatrics Centre (APC), Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) on Saturday. 

The meeting was organised by Nanhi Jaan, a non governmental organisation (NGO) which is working for the welfare for children at PGIMER.

Her pitch is different

Although Priyanka Raina garners much public attention for her association with cricketer Suresh Raina, who she’s been married to for over two years now, she is not limiting her identity to just being a wife or a mother. Having worked as a software tester in a bank in Bijlimer, Arena in Netherlands, ING, Accenture, and Wipro, Priyanka misses a stable job, but is content with the feeling that her new venture will be gratifying. “It will impact the lives of many people,” she says.
